Ground-floor horror section — dark-red and black spines, easy to spot from across the room.
1B — Fantasy
Purple and violet spines — fantasy genre, sits next to most of the magic-related sections.
1C — History
Brown and tan spines — non-fiction history, similar palette to Guidebooks.
1D — Science
Blue spines — scientific theory, easy to confuse with Prophecy at a glance.
1E — Poetry
Soft pink and cream spines — poetry, regularly mistaken for Romance.
1F — Romance
Rose and pink spines — romance, the section poetry and horror books often end up in by mistake.
1G — Guidebooks
Green spines — guidebooks, lives close to Alchemy and Monsterology on the colour wheel.
1H — Comics / Episodic
Mixed bright spines — comics and episodic series, the most visually noisy section on Floor 1.
1I — Holy / Healing
White and gold spines — holy and healing-themed books, distinctive against other genres.
1J — Music
Teal and cyan spines — music, fairly unique on the floor.
1K — Stealth
Gray and charcoal spines — stealth, easy to overlook in dimly-lit corners.
1L — Alchemy
Green-gold spines — alchemy, similar palette to Guidebooks.
1M — Prophecy
Silver and pale-blue spines — prophecy, sometimes mixed up with Science or Holy.
